With participation at the national level in the development of the ASTM Risk-Based Corrective Action guidelines, and at the state level with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Risk Integrated System of Closure (RISC) and Remedation Closure Guide (RCG) programs, Mundell & Associates personnel have demonstrated technical expertise in the investigation and remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soils and groundwater.

Active remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon releases, when determined to be necessary, has been achieved through the use of on-site approaches such as product recovery, groundwater capture and treatment, soil vapor extraction and air sparging, as well as with innovative in-situ alternatives such as biodegradation using oxygen and nutrient enhancements, chemical oxidation and natural attenuation evaluations.
