On September 24, John Mundell and Ryan Brumbaugh presented “Applied Geophysics for Environmental Site Characterization” as part of the Midwestern States Environmental Consultants Association (MSECA) webinar series.
This webinar detailed how the use of geophysical applications can enhance standard environmental site characterization practices and improve the design of remedial alternatives for complex site and geologic conditions. The discussion included the use of various geophysical methods such as electromagnetic metal detection, electromagnetic conductivity, two-dimensional electrical resistivity, ground penetrating radar (GPR), seismic, microgravity and downhole logging applied to environmental projects such as site assessments, migration pathway analyses and groundwater investigation and remediation.
