On Friday March 22nd, Mundell & Associates Project Geologist Rachel Walker traveled to northern Indiana to teach Grade 3 classes about Indiana geology.
The trip was part of the Professional Geologists of Indiana (PGI) outreach program to teach the public the importance of geosciences and the role it plays in the community.
The kids received hand-on experience with rock specimens and common tools of the trade to learn a little about what geologists do. Shane Schmidt, also a member of PGI, presented a slide show to the classes on the geology of Indiana.
