Mundell performed a human-health risk assessment for the development and subsequent habitation of a housing facility for the elderly at a site with known petroleum hydrocarbon soil and groundwater contamination in Herndon, Virginia. Mundell developed an innovative corrective action plan that predicted monitored natural attenuation would clean the site of a former Department of Transportation (DOT) maintenance facility.
